Threatening Call Puts Norristown School On Lockdown

Authorities in Montgomery County were investigating after a threatening call was placed in the Norristown Area School District.

The call came in Wednesday morning, inciting a lockdown at Norristown Area High School, according to a statement posted to Facebook.

District schools were locked down around 10:30 a.m. while police investigated.

As of 11: 41 a.m., NAHS students were expected to be dismissed early due to the disruption, officials said.

No threat was found. No injuries were reported.

There was no immediate word on the lockdown status at Whitehall Elementary School.

West Norriton police told Daily Voice they have no details to publicly provide.
